Your first proposal

Price the roof

  1. Open Map. Search an address, or zoom in and tap the roof.
  2. RoofGo measures it and shows the Estimated price on your Price Book in a few seconds. A fresh measurement uses 1 Property Credit.
  3. Check the aerial photo: Does this match the house in front of you? The photo’s date is shown. An older photo can miss a new room or garage.
  4. Fix anything that is off: Roof size with − and + (half a square at a time), Stories, Pitch and Roof system. The price follows as you tap.
  5. Detached garage or shop? Tap Add another building, then tap it on the map. It joins the same estimate.
  6. If an amber box says Needs review before sending, check the pitch, roof system and size, then tick I have checked the pitch, roof system and size.
  7. Optional: tap Add contact and type the Homeowner name, Email and Phone.
  8. Tap Create proposal. The proposal opens.

Send it

The buttons across the top of the proposal:

  • Email it: sends the proposal to the homeowner. If you did not add an email, it asks for one.
  • Text it: opens Messages on your phone with the link already written. It goes from your own number.
  • Share link: opens your phone’s share sheet, or copies the link on a computer.
  • Print: opens the printable version. Tap Print there to send it to your printer.
  • Request mailer: asks your office to print and post it. See Mailers and the Mail room.

Changed your mind? Turn off homeowner link stops the link working for anyone who has it. Turn it back on undoes that.

See when it is opened

  1. Open Estimates in the menu.
  2. Each estimate shows where it is: Not sent, Sent, Viewed or Won. Viewed means the homeowner opened it, from a link or by scanning the QR code on a mailer.
  3. A badge such as Opened 2 times (link) shows how often. Hover it on a computer to see when it was last opened.

Reopening a saved property or proposal is free. The price is an estimate from aerial imagery: see Measurement accuracy before you sign a contract.
