Put RoofGo on your iPhone home screen

There is no App Store app yet. Add RoofGo to your Home Screen instead and it runs like an app. It opens full screen with no Safari bars, straight to the map, so you can price the houses you pass and request mailers with one hand. It still needs a data connection: without signal you see a short No connection screen until you are back online.

In Safari

  1. Open RoofGo in Safari and sign in.
  2. Tap Share (the square with an arrow). On iPhone it is in the bar at the bottom; if you see ··· there instead, tap that first. On iPad it is at the top right, by the address.
  3. Tap Add to Home Screen. Scroll down the list or tap View More if you do not see it.
  4. Leave Open as Web App switched on, then tap Add.
  5. Open RoofGo from the new icon on your Home Screen, not from Safari.

In Chrome on iPhone

  1. Open RoofGo in Chrome and sign in.
  2. Tap Share in the address bar. If it is not there, tap ···, then Share.
  3. Tap Add to Home Screen, leave Open as Web App on, then tap Add.
  4. Open RoofGo from the new icon.

Sign in once more

The Home Screen app keeps its own sign in, apart from Safari. The first time you open the icon, sign in again. After that it stays signed in.

If it still shows Safari's bars

The icon was added with Open as Web App switched off, or it is a bookmark. Press and hold the icon, tap Remove App, then Delete, and add it again with Open as Web App on.

The card in RoofGo

On an iPhone or iPad, RoofGo shows a small card with these steps under the top bar. Tap the X and it comes back in 30 days. Tap Done and it never shows on that phone again. It never shows once RoofGo runs from the Home Screen.

On Android

Open RoofGo in Chrome, tap the three-dot menu, then Install app (or Add to Home screen).

Ask Roo first

Roo, RoofGo’s AI assistant, answers most questions instantly and can read screenshots.
