Licenses, certifications and insurance
Homeowners deciding whether to call ask the same things: are you licensed, are you insured, who stands behind the roof. Brand Studio puts your answers on every proposal, PDF, mailer and homeowner link, in one designated section. The Owner and Admin can change it.
- Open Settings, then the Company tab.
- Licenses: add each license separately, for example your Residential license and a Commercial (Certificate of Responsibility), or another state’s. For each, the Type, State, what is Printed before the number (such as MSBOC #), the License number and, if you like, when it Expires. Up to 4. The first prints in the header of every document; all of them print in the footer and in the credentials section.
- Manufacturer credentials: tap Add a manufacturer credential, pick the Manufacturer (GAF, Owens Corning, CertainTeed, Atlas, IKO, Malarkey, TAMKO, DaVinci and commercial makers such as Johns Manville, Holcim Elevate, Carlisle, Duro-Last, Tremco and GAF CoatingsPro+), then the Program or tier exactly as it is on your agreement, for example GAF Master Elite Contractor, Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Contractor or CertainTeed SELECT ShingleMaster. Not listed? Choose Other manufacturer, or Another program, and type it; if it matches a program we know, RoofGo offers the listed name. Add a contractor number and the year you earned it if you like. Up to 8.
- Badge images are optional. Proposals print a clean text badge for every credential. If your program lets you use its badge, Upload your badge image (PNG or JPEG; RoofGo scales it down) and it prints in the same place instead.
- Insurance: your General liability limit, the Insurer if you want it shown, Workers’ compensation (with its limit, if you want it shown) and Bonded, and a short Note such as Certificate of insurance on request.
- What sets you apart: a Tagline (one line under the heading), up to 8 Why choose us points, Awards and ratings (such as your BBB rating) and your Warranty line. Then tap Save changes.
Where it prints
- The proposal and homeowner link: under Who you would be hiring.
- The mailer and every PDF: page three, Why your company, with the badges, licenses beside insurance and warranty, then your points. With the aerial photo switched off, page one also shows your top three credentials and your licenses.
Good to know
- A mailer is always four pages (two sheets, under an ounce), whatever you enter. When there is not room for everything, RoofGo prints the highest tier credentials first and your first points first, and leaves out the rest rather than adding a page or cutting text off. A long entry is shortened with three dots.
- Enter only what you hold today and what your program lets you say. Owens Corning network membership, for example, is a membership, not a certification. A credential is a claim a homeowner can check.
- A why-us point that repeats a credential you added (say, GAF Certified Contractor) is printed once, as the badge.
- Nothing entered yet? The documents print questions any homeowner should ask a roofer in that space, until you add your own.
