Stop the location question on iPhone
RoofGo only asks for your location when you tap Find me (the crosshair) or Use my location on the map. Opening the map never asks. It opens where you last were, or on your company's service area, and finds you by itself only when your phone has already said yes.
Why the iPhone keeps asking
Safari on iPhone, and RoofGo added to your Home Screen, can forget a website's location answer between visits. When Safari is set to Ask, it asks again each time a website wants your location.
Stop the question
- Open the iPhone Settings app.
- Tap Apps, then Safari. On older iPhones, Safari is in the main Settings list.
- Under Settings for Websites, tap Location.
- Choose Allow. Ask means the question comes back. Deny means the locate button cannot find you.
If the locate button still cannot find you, check Settings, Privacy & Security, Location Services: Location Services must be on, and Safari Websites set to While Using the App. Apple sometimes renames these screens; if a label looks different on your iPhone, look for Safari and Location.
You never need location to use RoofGo. Search an address, or move the map and tap a roof.
Ask Roo first
Roo, RoofGo’s AI assistant, answers most questions instantly and can read screenshots.
