Share a pin with your team

Every house you price gets a pin on the map, and tapping it opens its sheet: the address, the price, the monthly payment, storm history and the buttons. When a teammate should look at a house, share the pin instead of making a whole proposal.

Share a pin

  1. Tap a roof on the map so the sheet shows its price, or tap the pin of a house you already saved.
  2. Tap Share pin: next to Add contact on a new price (on a phone it is the share icon), or next to Open estimate on a saved house. RoofGo makes a short link like https://roofp.in/K7mq2XpR4a. Sharing the same house again gives you the same link.
  3. Tap Share to send the link from your phone (Messages, WhatsApp, email), Copy link to paste it yourself, or pick someone under Send to a teammate and tap Send.

Send to a teammate goes to their phone as a notification when they use the RoofGo app with notifications on, and by email otherwise. They can turn these off on the Account page under A teammate shares a pin with me.

Opening a pin

A teammate in your company who opens the link lands on the map, centred on the house, with the pin dropped and the sheet open at your price. Opening it uses no Property Credits: it uses the measurement your company already paid for. Measure again is there if they want a fresh reading, under the usual rules.

From there it is a normal house. They can tap Create proposal (the proposal is theirs), then Request mailer so your office prints and mails it from the Mail room, add the homeowner's contact, or mark the door. That is the fastest way to turn the houses your reps drive past into mailers in the mail.

Not signed in? They sign in first and go straight back to the pin.

In more than one company? If the pin is from a company you belong to but you are working in another one, RoofGo asks first: "This pin is from Southside Roofing. Switch to Southside Roofing to open it?" Tap Switch to work in that company and open the pin, or Cancel to stay where you are. To go back, open a pin from your other company the same way.

Who can see a pin

  • Only people in your company who use the map. A pin shows that one house and its price, nothing about your other customers.
  • Anyone outside your company who opens the link, a homeowner or another roofer, goes to the RoofGo website and sees nothing about the house or the price, not even which company shared it.
  • Door hangers and property links you give homeowners work exactly as before. Proposals still go out on roofb.id.

How long a pin lasts

A pin works for as long as RoofGo keeps the roof's measurement: up to 30 days from when the roof was measured. The share panel shows the date. Tap Turn off link to stop it sooner, for example if you sent it to the wrong person. Sharing the house again makes a new link.

A saved house shares from its estimate: the price, roof system and stories always, and the squares and pitch when they can be kept. An older estimate that was never sent shares its price only; your teammate can tap Measure again for fresh figures. A house with no price yet shows Price this roof.
